Nadya is in tears after learning of the critical condition of Igor's father. Nadya and Irina enter the house and inform Nikolai about the condition of Igor's father. Nikolai decides to meet Igor's father the next day. That night, Lucia informs Nikolai that his mother had introduced her to her friends as the servant of the house . Lucia also informs him of the condition put forward by his mother and believes that she is in fact nothing more than a servant in the house.
