YANG QIAO ER is a jolly and easy-going club-girl. In order to quit her so-called public relation work, she plans to find a man and settle down. When she is talking marriage with her boyfriend LAW, her real identity is exposed and she is recognized by LAW's parents as a social butterfly. QIAO ER's dream of marriage shatters. She intends to commit suicide as an act of protest. Yet she is not courageous enough to taste the bitterness of death . The twist to the story is when QIAO ER swallows a piece of Chinese New Year cake, she is choked to death.
