KWOK passes two bowls of so-called medicine to CHENG and YI and asks them to try it out. KWOK finally allows CHENG and YI to get out of the Palace. WAN pays CHENG a visit before she leaves. To WAN’s great surprise, CHENG returns to her the lucky charm that she gave her earlier. CHI claims that ON has been having an affair with WONG’s handmaiden SAU-LIN. LIN cannot endure the harsh punishment and finally agrees to testify against ON . HA is very fond of the perfume bag made by HO. Knowing that WAI has got MO CHUNG a few medical pills from the Taoist Temple, LING becomes worried about her and asks her to be careful not to be exploited.
