MAN brings KIU to his home and LAN is pleased to see them make up and become friends again. The YUENS are going to attend FU’s graduation ceremony at the cadet school but NI’s car does not start no matter how hard she tries. The family has no choice but to get a lift with FUNG. In fact it is all planned in advance so that FUNG will have the opportunity to serve YIN and stand a better chance of reconciliation with her . CHING asks MAN out for dinner, during which she needs MAN to fulfill his promise and break up with FA. MAN points out that he has no feeling for her and urges her not to take his so-called promise too seriously. Deeply upset by what MAN says, CHING walks away in a rage and in sheer disappointment. CHING gets so down that she goes to confide in YAN at her home . YAN tries to persuade CHING to give up on MAN but YEE-MUI, having heard about all the virtues of MAN, suggests CHING should continue to woo him……
