As instructed by the troupe leader, YAU delivers a platter of assorted dim sum to MAN, who in turn asks her to take the food to SUN instead. YAU enters SUN’s office when he and ALI are studying some judicial precedents. YAU asks SUN to teach her how to write her father’s name, during which ALI discovers that YAU shares the same surname as the convict in a criminal case who was later sentenced to death . SUN asks MAN about a previous case, in which he served as the defence counsel for a Caucasian suspect and managed to secure an acquittal for his client in the end. He expresses deep reservations about MAN’s tactics, thinking that this would implicate the witness in the murder and get him in serious trouble. YIN asks KWAN out for a meeting, during which she asks KWAN to prove her love for MAN. YIN goes to see MAN with a cup of tea……
