The emperor tactfully inquires into the marriage between FA and SHAN. A shrewd FA gives the emperor a flawless answer. The very same night, the couple stays over in the imperial palace at the emperor’s invitation. To find out if the rumor that the couple is at odds has any truth, CHUNG observes stealthily outside their room. FA realizes the presence of CHUNG and pretends to embrace SHAN .
