Fujimoto Naoki is found dead by his younger brother, Yuta, and the hospital wants to perform Ai (Autopsy Imaging) to determine the real cause of death. After performing Ai, Igarashi detects abnormalities in Naoki's liver and believes the cause of death to be an unusual one. The story takes an unexpected turn and it brings Naoki's stepfather, Mr. Fujimoto, to realise the truth that he never knew . Amakasu on the other hand, begins to consult Igarashi in diagnosing the images.
