Greg is a science fiction author best known for his media tie-in novelizations. Cox discusses his career starting with writing short fiction for such magazines as "Amazing Stories" and "Mike Shayne Mystery Magazine". Greg talks working with editor John J . Ordover at Pocket Books in the realm of Star Trek novels and other franchises. Bryan asks Greg about his first two Star Trek novels, a Deep Space Nine book co-written with John Gregory Betancourt and a Next Generation novel with Kij Johnson, and how both of those early collaborations worked in very different fashions.
