Ezio learns from the newspapers that the Captain who married him and Stefania years earlier on a boat was actually a con man. The marriage is invalid, and Ezio wants to exploit his new single status, but all he does is ruin his relationship with Stefania. Giulio and Lucia try to mend fences . Francesco asks Alice to move in together, and she accepts. Thirty years have passed since the death of his father, Romolo, and to commemorate him, Cesare has decided to move his body to a new chapel. But the coffin has disappeared. Giulio and Augusto try to hide from him the fact that his father had a lover and that he wished to be buried next to her, but the truth comes out.
