In the middle of the forest, the children meet a girl named Alicea, who is sitting on a rock waiting for her grandmother. Alicea tells them that she will be living at her grandmother's house for the next few years. There, she will be trained to become a real witch. Witches in the Moomin forest? But when Snork sees an old woman riding a broomstick in the evening sky, the children decide to get to the bottom of the matter . The next day, they set out to find the witch's house.
