The little orphan Paolo is brought back to the orphanage by a couple who have discovered that they are expecting a child: the child, traumatized, is no longer able to speak. Don Vittorio, who keeps him with him, calls the home repair business that the boys have set up "S.O.S. casa", and on that occasion Gigi meets Paolo, to whom he becomes attached . Paolo and Debora come back to see him and, for his birthday, they take him to a toy shop, where the boy asks for a very expensive video game: Debora scolds him rudely and Gigi gets angry with the girl who, to make up for it, tries to steal the toy. The overseer asks her for money in exchange for her silence . Don Vittorio is forced to close the soccer field, which has become unusable due to a downpour, and Paolo asks the boys to use the money they have raised to pay for the damage. Debora, however, asks Paolo for that money to pay her loan shark, and Gigi believes that it was Paolo who stole it from her. Paul runs away.
