A villager thanks Gangadhar Rao for freeing them for the British. Gangadhar Rao gives the credit to Laxmibai. Tatya Guru asks Laxmibai to return to the palace. But she refuses. Gangadhar feels disappointed to see Laxmibai leaving from there. He follows her. Sakhubai, Jankibai and Lacho are shocked when Motibai tells them that the girl who won against Pascal is Maharani Laxmibai. Spears is very upset that Fort Williams accepted his resignation . Everyone is sure that Gangadhar Rao will return to the palace with Laxmibai. But Sakhubai, Jankibai and Lacho refuse to believe that the girl is indeed Laxmibai. Meanwhile, Laxmibai reaches a temple and faints. Gangadhar goes to help her. Laxmibai gains consciousness and initially gets angry with him. She refuses to return with him as she believes that he will still not accept as his queen as well as Kranti Guru . But Gangadhar Rao says that he is ready to accept her in both the forms.
