Rao Dulajo tells Laxmibai and her confidantes that Nathey Khan is the bravest of the soldiers and it would be tough to capture him. Laxmibai says that her motive was only to end the war, and for that, all she needed was Ladai Sarkar, dead or alive. She declares that victory would be theirs the next day. Laxmibai and Ladai Sarkar engage in a fierce fight and Laxmibai overpowers her. However, the latter manages to escape . She holds Nathey Khan captive and promises him that he would fight for Jhansi now! She warns him that when the commander is held captive, the morale of its soldiers gets shaken. Nathey Khan threatens that Ladai Sarkar will never bow or get defeated. Laxmibai vows to have his illusion broken the next day. Nathey Khan says that she cannot harm him because Tatya Tope was in a prison in Orchha.
