Faced with Zacarías's insistence, Aitana is forced to confess that she is in fact Adriana and reveals the reasons why she hates the Lizárraga brothers so much. Luciano feels compelled to demand that his brothers stay away from Aitana, stating that they cannot afford to risk their mother's recovery . Noticing Zacarías's change of attitude, Aitana demands that he pretend not to know anything about her story, as this would jeopardize her plans to seek justice. Aitana's pain moves Zacarías to such an extent that he begs her to abandon her suffering so she can live a full life, but she assures him that she has nothing more to offer him.
