Phyllis tells Arthur about Jack's scheme to create his own charter air firm. When she wonders if Geoffrey Cartland might be persuaded to come on board as a partner, Arthur reveals to her the trouble at Layford Park. Later, Phyllis and Jack contrive to meet Geoffrey, while Arthur attempts to keep them apart. Gates speculates about what Phyllis and Jack will get up to while Arthur is gone . Arthur advises Rosemary about the next step to take in her marriage.
