In the series premiere, former Corinth residents move into their new home, a trendy loft at 212 Greene St. in SoHo. Tess Wilder sets up her ad agency with the help of employees Steffi, Ally, Danny and the building superintendent Bernardo. Later, Ally, Steffi and Steffi's boyfriend Tony get a nasty welcome to New York when they find a dead mobster rolled up in a rug. After looking at her new medical clinic, newly separated Dr . Angie Hubbard declines her lover Jacob's offer to move in with him because she's still legally married. Angie's son Frankie arrives and gives his reluctant acceptance of her new relationship. Now down on his luck, former rock-and-roll singer Nick Rivers returns to the city and has a run-in with a homeless Zoey and a girl named Kayla . Aussie Richard Wilkins, who arranged for the new tenants to move in, invites Tess into the private penthouse of the building's owner- weatlhy media mogul Sydney Chase, Tess's idol. Looking for peace and quiet, Sydney returns fr
