Gene and Pat are called in to help Jim Saunders with his stageline troubles. Jim's son, Ray is in love with the daughter of Jason McKee, Linda, and ends up assisting Jason about the stageline information. Linda tells Ray to tell Jason that Gene is taking the payroll. Jason has his henchmen go out to capture Gene, only to find that he and Jim have switched places . Jim is captured, and Ray goes after him, and is followed by the outlaws, who are followed by Gene. The outlaws wound Ray during a gunfight with Gene, who captures the outlaws, and solves Jim's stageline troubles.
