Time Team joins forces with the people of Modbury to uncover their dramatic history. They hunt for clues throughout the town, in attics in living rooms, and under brand new lawns. The team look for for evidence of Civil Wars that raged through the town in the 17th century. Time Team are joined by Jim Stetson, whose family sat at the heart of the community before they left for America to find their fortune making hats .
