A Dose 2 Metal explores the African metal scene, and more specifically South Africa, home to Gorofest, the first metal festival open to all Southern African countries . During the 2015 edition, 300 people attended concerts by bands from South Africa, Botswana, Angola, and Mozambique, all sharing one common goal: to showcase their country's metal scene. The bands take turns sharing their love for metal, the challenges of making a living from it, the often delicate reception of its imagery on such a continent, but also its unifying role in a post-apartheid society . An original, unique, and therefore very interesting topic!
