Tjure's hammer has been hit by lightning and is stuck in a big rock. Everyone thinks it's Thor's hammer and a big argument starts with Schlake, the neighboring village, as the hammer in the stone is exactly in the middle between the two villages, who claim Thor's blessing . A competition starts to free the hammer from the stone, and Halvar is about to lose when Vic uses hot and cold water on the stone to crack it and help his father free the hammer.
